I know it because of David Mack's Kabuki. :D One of the children's books within The Alchemy has a pushmi-pullyu in it. (It's a graphic novel like the previous Kabuki collections, but it has full children's books in it supporting the storyline, four panels to a spread - I think Mack has released them as real children's books.)
