There is all this backstory in my head about Peter going to a gay bar to unwind and of course all of Neal's case file indicates he's enthusiastically heterosexual so Peter doesn't expect him there and then this guy Steve-or-something starts chatting with him and it turns into gay sexxings at the gay bar and then it turns into coffee dates (where Steve does not take his coffee the way Neal ever has, and Peter is keeping half an eye out for Neals at the coffee shop but it doesn't occur to him that he's right across the table) and other kinds of dates and sex and more sex and and and *flail*
