Yuletide letter!

Dear Yuletide Writer Person,
Hi! *flails happily at you*
Chances are, I don't know you and you don't know me. But we have at least one fandom in common, and that is a good thing. And you are going to be writing a story for me! (Um. Needless to say, that is also a good thing, and it makes me squee like a squeeing thing.)
With (very) few exceptions, I'm happy with just about anything. I like gen and het and gen and slash and threesomes and whatevers, I like all varieties of ratings, and (if there happens to be sex, which of course is not at all required, because did I mention the liking of gen?) anything from vanilla to kink. I like character-based stuff, I like plot-based stuff, I like serious angsty stuff, I like fluffyhappy shmoop, I like complete and utter crack ... you get the idea.
The exceptions: I don't like character bashing. I don't, at least for yuletide, like character death, or violence to the point of explicit gore. I have a strong embarrassment/humiliation squick. I don't like rape (consentual-by-all-parties consent play is okay though), and when it comes to sex stuff I don't like necrophilia or anything that deals with bodily excrement.
But aside from all that, go wild. The requests are in no particular order, not in any way ranked by preference; I love them all, which is why I requested them. Choose whichever prompt you want, and write something that works for you, and in all probability it will make me deliriously happy.
Also? Thank you. <3

I have a lot of babble, including some possible story ideas (that I want to read without having to write them myself, heh). Please keep in mind that I hold very firmly to the "optional details are OPTIONAL" clause -- you don't even have to read my babble if you don't want to, and you can take an idea and run with it or do something totally different and I will flail happily.
With that said, here are my requests, and their respective babblings.
* Disney’s Little Mermaid, Ariel.
Some possibilities: What if they kissed in time - what happens next? no one ever said getting her voice back was part of the bargain, for instance. or: What if Ariel wants to go home for a visit; what if the prince comes to meet the inlaws? Triton can make the one change, mermaid to human, so surely he could do the other. or: What happens when they have children? do they know who/what their mother is? or: What happens when Ariel grows up, and discovers that walking isn’t as much fun as she thought, that swimming with legs is ungainly and awkward, that singing is totally different in both feel and sound? Or, like I said, go somewhere else!
* Disney’s Mulan, Shang and Mulan.
Again some possibilities: Before the reveal of Ping as Mulan, Shang’s thoughts on Ping, or even Shang/Ping slash. Or after the reveal, his thoughts on Ping and Mulan and what the difference is and what could have been. or: Post-movie, does he expect Mulan to play the proper wife, and if so what happens when she doesn’t? What happens when the next war comes, and Shang goes off; does Mulan come? What if they have kids and she can’t? Or maybe she makes him stay home while she runs off to do battle. or... *flail* As a warning, I have an embarrassment squick that the movie flirts with and even crosses a couple of times (especially when it comes to Mulan-as-Ping trying to Be A Man instead of just being a soldier). It’s a very weird thing because I like the “girl dressing up as boy” trope (Tortall ftw) and don’t mind genderwacky stuff, but ... *flail* I don’t even know.
* Valdemar, any.
I love these books way more than they deserve and spent a fair bit of my teenargerness daydreaming about being Chosen by a Companion. With that said, I reeeeeally really want to see a Dark Valdemar AU (or a dark/creepy twist on legitimate canon) where not only do the Companions have everyone in power convinced they're Good, they also burn out any kid with Gifts that they can't get to. And people are terrified of Heralds even though they don't dare show it. And there’s the whole noncon factor of the Choosing and okay in canon it’s generally a good thing but what about cases where it isn’t? And, er, stuff. *flails* (This is an exception to the rape/noncon thing that I said I generally don't like.) But if that is not your cup of tea, my inner twelve year old would be delighted at more stories about Magic Sparkly Telepathic Ponies Zomg. (Trust me, it would. I'm not just saying that.)
* Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Joseph and Narrator
After seeing the filmed adaptation of Joseph &c., I was struck by an immense need for Joseph/Narrator (anything from friendship to sexytimes to true love). Because it is so totally there. And it would amuse me greatly!
And um, I think that's it! Did I babble enough? :D Anyway, have fun writing! <3
