my "good" arm -- the one that can still rotate the hand between flat (palm down) and vertical (palm in) -- is having pain issues. If I keep the forearm muscles relaxed and the hand in vertical (ish) position and don't use it, it's tolerable. Problem is, I use that hand for a) mouse use, b) cane support for transfers to or from the toilet, and driving my chair.
The first I can compensate for, using left hand for mouse and typing either by on-screen keyboard (slowwww and tedious and easy to typo) or dictation (not quite as slow but still tedious and annoying and error prone, and not very private). Can't do gaming without pain, but I'll live. Second and third I can't. And both require not just use of hand but also palm down ness.
.......argh.
(And in addition to the pain itself is the worry that it might lock up and take away that much more movement permanently D: )
