It will change, yes. I've had multiple dogs, including abused rescue dogs. Getting a new dog's attention is nearly impossible in a busy setting. You will probably see a big change tomorrow as it will recognize you this time.
The dog doesn't know yet that you're the source of all good things. Have confidence. Be open to your dog. That is your dog. They don't know it yet.
