ysobelSo fairly recently I watched Avatar:TLA -- er, the good one, the animated series, not the movie abomination -- and am now catching up on Legend of Korra.
I kind of want to do an AU of XMFC in the Avatar world.
Erik has an obvious analogue (earthbender with a strong affinity for metal). Charles ... I kind of want to have mind control be a kickass variation of airbending. (viz. lightning for fire, metal for earth, blood for water; I'm only partway through Korra so don't know if they establish the air analogue, but to my mind it ought to be some variant of life/breath or, arguably, free will)
Not sure how Raven fits though.
(Banshee is an airbender, of course, and Alex is a firebender, and all of this would have to take place in an AU of Avatar/Korra where bending is mostly forgotten -- or, depending on how all the anti-bending stuff in Korra turns out (I am up to ep 9 out of 12), post Korra where the power has flipped to favor nonbenders. But uh.)
