Every now and then I toy with the idea of repiercing my ears, but never quite get there. (Pierced them briefly as a youngster, but they weren't healing well and I let them close up.) Those are awfully shiny, though, and it's tempting!
I didn't know there was cartilage in earlobes! Though muscle wouldn't have occurred to me as an option... I figured from the way they felt it was all just basically skin. :D
