Pfft, who needs ~logic~ (and compassion and common sense) when there's ~cute~
...seriously, I tend to like cute, but a) the new icons do not scale well, b) the yarn ball smileys just look wrong (and have pokey out bits that we've taken to calling "yantlers"), c) not everyone likes twee, and d) there would be ways to sneak in animated Easter eggs that would make it *fun* instead of required. Like, the login page being static unless you click on Bob; or the About page having a Konami code trigger for yarn balls bouncing across (bouncing yarn emojis is currently the animation when you buy things wtf). Nothing that impedes functionality, nothing in-your-face, cute little things that people who like cute can seek out.
I'm really really hoping there's some explanation for all this besides "Cassidy is burnt out and has already given "ownership" of rav over to someone else, and said someone else doesn't give a flying rats ass about the userbase"...
