So, Thursdays are WoW raid night [which does, yes, mean that I can't watch SPN live, but I usually manage it by the morning after, sans ads], and we were doing Ulduar. Our guild has a bunch of newish 80s, and a pathetically-geared rogue, so we're still doing early-Ulduar stuff, but we did manage to down Ignis for the first time.

Grrishly, I had Random Disconnect right after we killed Deconstructor.

By far less grrishly, I came back in time for Loot. Specifically, Treacherous Shoulderpads.

At first, I was just "yay better loot".

And then I put it on.

Turns out there's an animation. Turns out, these things have, like. Glowing bladed lightning tentacles.

Seriously.

(Naturally, I immediately informed #yuletide of this.)

(I also got boots and a sword. Ulduar was nice to me tonight.)

(Also, it amuses me that gear from the Headless Horseman is viable -- I've still got the sword and the melee ring equipped.)

(...I *seriously* need to get an upgrade for my wrists, however. Everything else is a mix of ilevel 200, 219, and 226. the bracers? are ilevel 187. ...yeah.)
