...the chair repair people can't come out until tomorrow. Afternoon.
Which, for one thing, means that I'm stuck with this for another 24h at /least/ (and there's no guarantee that she will be able to fix it when she's out here). My legs and back are already severely unhappy.
And for another, means that there's a high probability that I will miss choir rehearsal. First rehearsal of the quarter. First rehearsal with new music. And I'm going to miss it.
(yes, this is more important, but that's not the point.)
And for a third, means that I am way too fucking nice. Because I said "okay" instead of "that is not acceptable. You need to come out today." Don't know that that would have worked, but I could have at least tried, y'know?
I need/want to learn to be more assertive. I just ... it doesn't /occur/ to me. I have always been very much about following the rules and obeying authority without question and doing what other people tell me, and sometimes that's useful but sometimes it's just being a doormat. /sigh/
