Accessibility rant here for anyone interested.

Dear AO3: Am I really the first person to upload (or at least tag) a Giles/Jenny fic? Seriously?

ETA: No, it was just listed as Jenny/Giles, not Giles/Jenny. Whoops. Added something for the tag wranglers, I guess

Also dear AO3: when I remove tickyboxes and then save, I kind of expect them to stay removed. Grrrrr. Yes, I know I told you to import a ton of fics with everything checked just to cover my bases until I could get things cleaned up. That didn't mean /persist/ with those settings.

And while I'm on the subject, why are things I've posted under a pseud authored by "$main, $pseud ($main)"? It's a little redundant there.

AO3 now has 59 of my works up; I imported the pre-2000 fics I wanted to keep, and then the pre-2005 fics, and since I had no specific posting date for any of those, they are tagged and then dated Jan 1 of the year I know they were posted before.

This makes me look like I was /really really prolific/ those two days. *snicker*

It also skews my fandom stats; Buffy is at the top with 31, Stargate is the next down with *6*, and Supernatural, where I've probably been most prolific since 2005, only has 3.

Post 2005 I have a bunch of other fandoms (Firefly, Heroes, Merlin, Numb3rs, PotC), and 30 SPN fics.

But I think I shall wait with importing all those until later. And cleaning them up even later than that, because at least the dates will be right.

Sorting works by hits still gives the same results for the top ten, of course, and the first fic I uploaded to AO3 (Blood Sin, a Vagrant Story fic) still ranks above the recently uploaded, with 31 hits where the next down has 20.

Sorting works by word count has older fics at the top -- one with almost 15k words, one with over 10k, one with 7k, and a bunch of 2-4k ones.

I really /like/ those top two fic.

(The third one is a good fic but the last 5% took so much teeth-pulling that I can't actually enjoy reading it, even when it's been long enough that I don't remember the words.)

There were fics that I had totally forgotten I wrote, until I dug them up with the wayback machine. I have a nagging feeling that there are more fic that are lost in the ether. Possibly even good fic. Ones that I posted only to mailing list; ones that I wrote for paper zines and have long since lost; ones that I wrote for challenges and then forgot about.

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, since none of my fics are very earth-shattering or important to fandom as a whole, but it kind of makes me a bit wistful.
