*gurgling noise*

I do not have the right number of stitches.

I don't know enough about crochet to figure out where I've gone wrong.

I'm supposed to have 22 hdcs. The current round is "ch2, hdc in next 8, ch4, skip next 4, hdc in next 9, join with sl st to first ch2". I ended up doing 7 instead of 8, and still only had five left for the next 9.

(Given the numbers, I suspect I've been losing a stitch every round.)

(Sigh.)

I am about ready to cut the yarn and start over... ;_;
