So I decided to start with a different crochet project (sampler dishcloth -- two rows of single crochet, two rows of double crochet, two rows of v-stitch, two rows of shell stitch, and then back up the vstitch/dc/sc pattern). Simple stitches, flat project, should be relatively straightforward.
...you'd think.
It starts with ch 32, and then row 1 is skip first ch and sc in each ch to end. I did ch32, quadruple-counted, sc'd across ... and am two stitches short.
