So I am getting back into minecraft, including being on a multiplayer server, and I realized that I have complete and utter indecision about how to build a house (or other sort of shelter).
It's slightly easier on singleplayer, where I'm concentrating more on functionality. But only slightly -- cave cut-out, freestanding house, or raised platform house? One giant room, or separate rooms?
...and then add in multiplayerness, and a desire for appearance, and it gets crazier, partly because it needs to be aesthetically awesome (or at least not horrid).
I have a vague image in my head of this muddle of looks and functionality, and no idea how to go about doing it.
( babbleness )
(oh, and the belated cleverness? starting a world in creative mode so I can play with house styles in an infinite-resource environment...)
