Sep. 16th, 2015 03:47 pmAdulting done today: emailed the sleep study people to follow up on the cpap thing*; relaxed my constantly-clenched thigh/butt muscle** every time I noticed it tensing up; actually did some crochet; did not protest someone calling me an awesome friend***; used a lot of asterisks; deliberately did not include a (potentially infinite) list of stuff not done.
* and promptly forgot what month it is, freaked out thinking 9/14 was a month ago, called by doctor's office to see what was up, realized as I was talking that 9/14 was two days ago, felt idiotic, and backpedaled to "just wanted to make sure it would get seen since my pcp is out of office for another month still"
** probably gluteal muscle? the weirdness is on the outside of the thigh up near the hip but the muscle that I have to relax is a butt-centric one that lets me elevate my torso while seated. Have a sneaking suspicion that there is an FOP flare-up brewing somewhere in the back/side of the upper thigh, and the tensing up is a way to either 'protect' or take pressure off the flare area
*** all I did was be flexible in rescheduling a coffee date -- which feels less "awesome" than just "considerate person", especially since I have an abundance of free time during the day
