Dream wtf

Dream last night: I was hanging out with a friend at my place, and her crappy asshole ex-bf showed up. (Friend exists in real life, but she doesn't have an ex, and I don't recognize the guy outside of the dream). Crappy Ex didn't do anything overtly bad aside from just showing up uninvited, but anything could start I was just up in his face yelling at him to get the fuck out and leave her/us alone, trying to be physically intimidating as well. I couldn't actually yell -- I think either the "physically suppress brain signals in dreams" thing kicked in to keep me from actually yelling and my dream brain picked up on me failing to vocalize, or I did make some small physical noise and my brain was like "oh that wasn't loud" -- but it was effective regardless; he did the "I'm just being friendly" blustery defense and skedaddled, and I went back to the couch where I'd been sitting and just kind of wheezed for an eternity. I don't know why there was wheezing since I don't have asthma, but it seemed linked to the not-yelling somehow.

I'm not a confrontational person, unless I'm seriously pushed past limits, but this whole thing had a mama-bear defendińg-my-territory vibe... that feels significant for reasons I cannot figure out.

Me: now if she were autistic, the next line would have been "thank fuck for some routine"...

Plot bunny, sidling up to me: ok but what about autistic Beast, and the enchantment -- either punishment or an attempt at being helpful -- imposed "always the same" on the castle/surrounding and occupants? That's why the staff became animate objects, so they wouldn't age, and a side effect was everyone in the village getting a) stuck in a repeating loop, and b) getting magical amnesia about the existence of the castle so they wouldn't do surprises visits? And Belle and her father moving in was the start to breaking the spell, since it necessarily forced something new?
