THERE IS A WORLD OUT THERE STOP
ALSO A LIBRARY STOP
...which is to say, they have not yet fixed my main chair but my backup (which had a distinct lack of batteries) is now worky. It is not an ideal situation -- the chair is not entirely fitted to my current mobility needs, I can tilt back to a point where I then can't reach the thing to un-tilt, and some of the controls are in bad or inconvenient places.
But I can GO OUTSIDE without risking harm to myself or the chair.
And I can TILT BACK
...roommate and I went for a walk, over to the library. It is the first time I have been outside (well, aside from occasional ventures to my front porch) since Jan 2. I was entirely too giddy.
...my checkoutness of books may have reflected that a bit. Oops?
