wheeeeeeeeeboom
Jul. 4th, 2009 09:51 pmThe advantage to where I live is is that I can see the city fireworks just by going outside. The disadvantage is I get to hear it whether or not I want to. So I usually do go out.
It's not big-city-quality, but it is kind of pretty.
The music is a bit lolsome, though. I mean, really, guys, *Star Wars*? wtf. (Also the William Tell overture, and Dvorak's New World Symphony. And Indiana Jones.) Though at least they did do a bit of the 1812 at the end.
(plus the standard chorus of car alarms...)
Fireworks are pretty, but I can't help feeling uneasy at what we're celebrating. War should not be pretty.
