* got random-ass bunny for an xmfc (well, x-men in general, really) / hunger games fusion

* speaking of fusions, I am toying with ... there was a crossover fusion thingie idea that I had a few years back that I still really like the concept of, but I don't think I will get around to writing the fic that sprang from it, and I keep considering just sharing the idea behind it without wrestling it into a narrative

* my mouse is acting up, occasionally not wanting to move the cursor very far at all (but occasionally behaving normally), which is frustrating but I can't figure out why it's happening. D:

* wrote fic the other day. haven't formally posted it yet. am increasingly insecure and convinced my stuff is horrible... rationally I know a) it's not, and b) even if it were, some people would still enjoy it; but at gut level I "know" that everything I write is crap just by virtue of being written by me. which also makes it hard to work on improving, but I can't figure out how to start untangling this whole mess

* then again I have a lot of messes that need untangling

Re: the mouse - do you have a wireless mouse? Is it possible the battery is dying? Mine tends to act strangely when that happens.

It's wired, so I don't think it's a battery issue. :/ Might be a surface issue (the mousepad I'm using is a bit shiny, and the website suggests that as a possible cause of problems) except that that doesn't really explain why it sometimes works just fine.
