My computer decided that it didn't want to turn on. Nothing obviously wrong, no plugs loose, but ... no happy lights or whirring noises or anything.

I do have crochet, so am not at a loss for activity, but still.

If you plug a knowm-to-work appliance (kettle, rice cooker. soldering iron, other computer, or whatever) and cord in the AC outlet your computer uses, does it work?
