in which today is ... pretty much nothing

One of these days I want to write this entry that's brewing in my head, about perfection and failure and not living up to expectations and how giftedness plays into that, and learning how to learn, and where the hell I picked up as a tenet that making a mistake meant I had to go hide forever and never show my face again because omg I failed, rather than looking on it as an opportunity to learn, and about comparisons to other people and the fact that depression lies and brains lie, and how much energy I spend on "well normal people can do X Y Z just fine so why do I get so tired from doing nothing".

(though really there's probably several entries going on there, not just one)

...That day is not today, however.
