Grades, manners, rule following, people pleasing, appearance, sports. One of our intentions in parenting is to avoid this praise culture but it is quite hard. That said we just end up praising for things for badly so guess that's kind of okay. As a perfectionist myself so had fought hard to stop my perfectionist tenancies I really hope my kids grow up without being perfectionists.
