have computer.

contrary to what they told me, a fair amount of stuff seems to have been recoverable. *but* I still have to reinstall software etc. and preferences. and everything else. and some of the programs -- trillian, mIRC, a few others -- I'd had older but fully functional copies of but they don't work and so I had to download new versions. (trillian, at least, downgrades to free after a while but lets you keep using it. the mIRC I had was annoying nagware, but currenter versions sound like they stop working after 30 days.)

WoW is ... not behaving. who's surprised? (not I. sigh.) crossing my fingers on being there for raid tomorrow.

mIRC still seems to work for me. I get the nag that the trial has gone for longer than 30 days, and the 'Continue' button is disabled, but eventually (like, after 5/10 seconds) it becomes clickable and I'm able to use it no worries.
