I changed my Switch to be on Eastern time, meaning I can participate in Animal Crossing's evening activities without disrupting my schedule.

This includes the Sunday night fireworks shows, whichh I missed out on last week.

I don't quite know why but the fireworks are just ... ridiculously happymaking. (And no animals get traumatized! bonus!)

Basic fireworks are magic. Silent fireworks are amaze balls.

Yeah, and while part of me knows it's just pixels in a game, part of me ... it's the visual magic of fireworks at a manageable volume, and it reminds me of 4th-of-July as a kid when it was all magic and no politics, y'know?
