Animal crossing stuff

ysobelI think I kind of burned myself out on AC, or it was a symptom of executive function issues -- on my old switch (Finn-land) I hadn't done much during November, and new switch (Gwyliau) I logged in today to find myself still in Halloween garb. (That was partly because both ac and yoshi are hard copy, not digital, and I can't switch them out myself, and I was kind of yoshi-addicted for the last five or six weeks.)
One thing I want to do, on both islands, is use ground patterns to label trees. Old method was leaving a piece of fruit in front of the fruit trees, so that I could distinguish the de-fruited fruit trees from regular trees. (For those who don't play the game, fruit trees grow three pieces of fruit, and when you shake the tree the fruit falls to the ground and can be picked, and new fruit grows three days later; for those three days they look exactly like regular trees.). But that meant Isabelle would complain about clutter. In talking to my sister, who has started playing also, we realized at the same time that it would work to do a custom design and display it on the ground in front of the tree.
Also I want to get gwyliau to three stars so I can do terraforming.
Also I want to figure out wtf I want to do with Finn-land. I have a few things -- a paw print lake because dig theme, an outside arcade area, a fenced-in flower collection, something more organized with the houses -- and idk what else. Fossil area for the museum, maybe. Need to do some serious flower cleanup because I forget which flower is native to my island but whichever one it is, it's sort of overtaken the back half, oops. And you can't terraform over flowers...
Anyway. Logged in to FL and I have a campsite visitor: Bob the purple cat. So of course I decide I want him. It takes what feels like forever, because he keeps suggesting the wrong villagers to replace, but finally he suggests Maple, who is someone I was thinking of for gwyliau. So I say yes, then open my airport, then log onto my other switch (...whoops, Halloween face!J and come over and invite her to stay.
So gwyliau is one step closer to three stars (i needed another villager, now need to improve the image) and FL has one more cat (I like sprinkle and marina too much to go completely cat+dog+wolf, but I have bob and ankha, and shep, and chief (who may go over to gwyliau for the autumn area, not sure) and fang. Also sprinkle (who I want on gwyliau but also on fl because I'm greedy) and roald and ...flo, i think? a purple penguin, anyway ... and marina and then gala the pig. So not much of a theme...)
Also one of these weeks I need to invest in turnips and raise up enough money to get the storage extension (on fl; my house on gwyliau is only two rooms so far) because holy crap do I hoard things...
