dream stuff

ysobelLast night I dreamed:
* that I was early to church and the choir (which I wasn't in) was practicing; none of the sopranos had shown up yet but the piece started with sopranos alone and the director yelled for sopranos and it was a piece I knew so I jumped in
* that later in the service they played a video that was a Babylon-5-based thing on the evolution of humanity in the future, which seemed out of place even in the dream
* that I "woke up" and rolled over in bed, into the spot where my mom had been before she got up; outside my window there was a river, possibly from flooding; inside the room it was snowing, tiny flakes that just sort of appeared
* that I went to a meeting at church and when my mom came to pick me up afterwards, there were brown chunks on the ground that looked like dog 💩 at first but then turned out to be chunks of a small chocolate cake
* that I was getting into the passenger seat of a normal car, albeit with some difficulty (I have varying levels of mobility in dreams, and this was about the mobility I had when I was maybe 14)
There may have been more, I'm not sure. At least this time the waking-up was purely dreamt ... I had at least one time where I was trying in the dream to open my eyes and ended up forcing them open IRL, which was extremely weird.
I find it interesting that church is a frequent venue for me these days. Sometimes it's service, sometimes session meetings, sometimes just the backdrop of where I am, but I suspect it happens more than classroom dreams (which I still get) or moving-in/out-of-dorm dreams.
...T minus a week to when I leave for service dog training...
