I have way too many characters. Which kind of ends up meaning not very much gets done with any of them, because my concentration isn't focused. So. Current plans/goals:

I am temporarily suspending play with my hordelet just because I have too much other stuff. And because I go through phases of interest and lack thereof.

The only other playable 80 is Jhalia (F'moon), who mainly needs gear and badgers (except I am allergic to pugging instances), and also rep. (kalu'ak, ebon blade, wyrmrest accord, tournament, etc.)

Primary leveling character for F'moon is Haaki (46 shaman) - current quests in tanaris and hinterlands. needs prof training once 50. (and I have no idea wtf possessed me to train her in tailoring, but oh well; at least she'll be able to make bags?) want to get to 80, not sure if that will happen because I am a dorkface. and because I am doubly scared to pug with her since she will likely be asked/expected to heal, which I am neither specced for nor practiced at (solo play does not lend itself to learning how to heal groups).

Other primary leveling character is Herayn on Greymane (64 dk). Have this annoying dilemma where her blacksmithing is not up to level (she's questing in HFP+, but bs is still stuck on thorium stuff) and I can never decide whether to spend time leveling her (which will allow me to go raiding with my sister, except for the fact that I will be way undergeared) or leveling bs. I will want to grind bs at some point because of belt buckles and similar, and it's more fun when I can just use what I mine when I mine it, but maybe I should concentrate on leveling first and professions second. especially since I half want to make her a jc instead >_>

I am not very ept at leveling. (As evidenced by the fact that my dks, which start at, what, 55? are only in their mid-60's.) Nor, really, at playing; my 80 is consistently at or near the bottom of the dps charts, and some of that is class-related restrictions (rogues have no good ranged attacks, and only one AoE of any sort) but some of it is me...

...and yet I've been playing WoW an awful lot lately, because it serves as an escape from reality. And because, in there, I am normal. Not one of the top players by any means, but not completely useless either (even if I could be more useful) and not the worst sort of player, and my characters are not disabled and can do the things that other characters can. And they don't have to worry about food, or about toilets, or about sleep, or about personal safety, and if things go wrong they can just run away (or rez) and start over.

Sometimes, I wish life were more like video games. Save points, or little quest logs that tell you what you are supposed to be doing, or something.

I started writing out suggestions for easier leveling, but I'm a burned-out min-maxer. I'm not sure you want my kind of advice :)

I do think that on Herayn you should level first and skill up your profession second -- which means you should probably create a bank toon or three, since you'll undoubtedly end up with loads of metal saved for later -- since I found that mining Thorium is extremely fast at 80, and at 64 some excellent spawns will still be pretty time-consuming to reach. If you plan to do it that way, your best bet is to use Gatherer, since it'll map the spawns for you and you'll know where you need to check on the next circuit.

If you want to skill her up before getting into Northrend, doing the Thorium grind at 68 or so will probably work just fine, although I can't be sure since I did it for the first time as a T5-geared tank.
