ysobelam now shaking like I'd had ten too many double espressos. Wheeee.
ETA: and yes, it went fine. :) I mean, I totally forgot how to sing (breathing? support? consonants? vowel shape? what?) but I hit the notes right and he was impressed by my choirboy sound (holding the long note without lots of wibbly vibrato).
I still don't at all expect to get it. (Which is why I'm not nervous any more; if it were at all likely, I would still be jittery about it as he hasn't announced who's doing it.) But it was kind of fun, in a weird and somewhat scary way. :)
(ftr this was for, like, three lines of solo in one of the pieces we're doing.)
