... I never really talked about this, did I? So I had this toy car that was shaped enough like an Impala to make me go "ooh, I can has Metallicar".

The fact that it was not, in fact, a model of an Impala is not stopping me.

The fact that it was bright blue with absurd decals on it is not stopping me either. That's what black nail polish is for.

Current status: It is now black. (The wheel wells are blue on the inside, but I'm not sure if I can repaint them without interfering with the rolliness of the wheels.)

I am thinking silver nail polish, or else a silver art pen thing, would be good for the front (grill and headlights) and for the wheels and, depending on how steady-handed I am feeling, the little stripe down the side. I am not, however, quite sure what to do about the windows, which are currently pretty much opaque black (looked fine when the car was bright blue, not so much when the car's black). Any suggestions?

Probably not feasible for you, but I'd paint the wheel, and keep it spinning till the nail polish dried, so it wouldn't get a chance to bond in the rolly parts ( not POSITIVE that that'll work, but )

I used to work in a hobby shop, the kind that did model trains and those thousand-miniscule-pieces-of-plastic 1:64 replicas of the USS Ticonderoga. If you brought it into that kind of store, they would totally be able to help you out. Well, that is, if your wheelchair could fit in something as cramped as most hobby stores tend to be. (I got fired from that shop from being disabled, so I'm a bit bitter.)
