... I'm just a bit frustrated with WoW right now. I can sometimes log into characters if I disable addons, as long as they aren't in a city, and most of my characters are in a city. Plus, I heart my addons and don't want to play without them. It's like playing blindfolded with half your keyboard missing (and the rest in dvorak layout but qwerty labeling).

*thwacks it over the head*

There is a part of me that misses Guild Wars. Not all of it (WoW does a much better job with hunters, who don't have to waste valuable skill slots in order to have their pet out, and rogues, and there's also the jumping thing), but I miss my characters and I miss preeeetty armor and I miss henches/heroes (even if they are dumb as turnips) and I miss the bpa and ... *flail* I don't know.

Except. I don't have the program installed any more, and even if I did I don't have my account information. And I really don't have the money to buy another account, even just one expansion (let alone three), which anyway defeats the "missing my existing characters" part.

Mrrrrr.

Also, I am totally not a mmorpg player. I mean, I play them, obviously, but I strongly prefer playing alone, or, if I have to group up, with friends rather than complete and utter strangers who tend to be idiots and/or annoying and/or elitist.

Which makes it kind of dorky that this post is all about mmorpgs. >_>

I've recently got my password info for Guild Wars. I didn't think I was going to be able to at first because it's been so long since I played and I couldn't quite remember my character names (thankfully old LJ entries came in handy for that). I downloaded the client and requested a password through there (since my account was done in 'the old way' so I couldn't request it through the website). So I can now log in - I just haven't yet because it's been far too long since I've played. Still half tempted to play, but I'm debating waiting for Guild Wars 2 and just restarting with that. Plus I'm two expansion packs short on my existing account so I would have to buy the expansions...

Do many of the old BPA still play, do you know?

We're still around. IRC's (as always) the most active bit but we'll come together for outings and whatnot. We're all super excited for the 5th year birthday coming up :D

We cleaned up guild membership a while back. Anyone who hadn't been around for 2 years (apart from Ascii so we can see when the guild was created because we keep forgetting) got booted, but are welcome back at any time. It was just making some people sad to see the 2-4+ year people still there. \o_O/)

We were thinking about doing something for our own personal 5 year birthday in May, maybe just get people back together for a catch-up or something, IDK.

But yes, we're very much still around.

Cool. Well, if I do actually start playing at all again I'll have to give you all a shout!
