ysobelmy grandfather (on my dad's side) passed away last night.
this was not unexpected. he has had declining health for years, and a bunch of serious health problems (of the sort requiring hospitalization) recently, and within the last week was moved to hospice care.
this is not hitting me as hard as when my mom's father died, which was completely unexpected (and, since it happened to be during the one Escapade I was at, led to me crying hysterically in a room full of slashfen). but. still.
