Ooh hey, productivity

I have, in the past 24 hours:
* finally gotten my healy gear all gemmed up (er, that will only make sense to WoW folk)
* sorted out talents etc for three out of my four max-level characters (ditto, with the additional explanation that there were major major changes on Tuesday)
* called, and met with, a potential (at this point probable) new morning aide person
* sealed and stamped something I should have mailed a month ago
* cleaned off some of my desk
* returned a library book that needed returning
* talked with therp about holiday issues and strategies
* cast on in the vain hope of being able to do a dishcloth-sized knitting in, um, *counts* less than 19 hours (I started at 5 and am like three rows in, which is not a good sign)
Yay me \o/
So, this gigantic pre-Cataclysm patch on Tuesday. Thumbs up on the mount thing (I'm sure people who spent lots of time trying to get a 310% mount are now cranky that it's buyable, but whatever), the glyph thing (even though I do want to be able to use four of the minor shaman glyphs), and the new raid UI (*draws pink sparkly hearts*). Still meh on the talent tree changes, especially the "must spend 31 points before other trees unlock" thing. Shaman healing seems fairly unaffected, though I could have sworn the cooldown on Reincarnation was shorter (possibly through a removed talent). Mageing is sparklier and the arcane missiles change makes me blink but is otherwise workable. Rogueing is still rogueish. Have not tried my hunter yet, or any of my non-80s.
And I am cranky that many of my addons went boom. Though the criticalest ones work, and the raid UI is awesome enough that I don't need an addon for that, so dunno.
This is all babbly babble that I have no idea why I'm typing it except that it's in my brain and wants out. *shrug*
Unrelated link: steampunk lesbian short stories omg want. Want NOW argh what is this "waiting" you speak of.

Date: 2010-10-16 06:15 am (UTC)Maging is fucking AWESOME post-patch, addon angst aside. Oh my god, I AM SO BADASS. Sucks they took invisibility away from me (ima level 72 mage on main, OKAY?!) but I am SO much more badass at DPS as a frost mage, and I hope they don't nerf caster DPS *too* badly.
I am impressed with your sorting out of talent trees, oh my god, SO SCARY. I am contemplating what to do with my babydruid at this point (she's only lvl 18, but she's my highest level alt). >_>;
