My body decided this would be a BRILLIANT TIME to a) dump the period from hell on me, and b) get sick. Sigh.

(My throat is not-quite-hurting, and my voice is a little weird, and I keep feeling like I need to clear my throat, even though doing so hurts and doesn't do anything useful. The last time I had these symptoms, it was definitely due to oversinging -- I went into rehearsal fine and came out voiceless (and it was six days before the performance, augh) -- except it wasn't just laryngitis, because it migrated into a chest cold and then camped out in my sinuses for a while. This time, it's partly oversinging from Thursday, partly overtalking on Friday, and probably partly stress, and possibly partly random virus.)

...both of which, on top of, well, everything else, mean that I have extremely limited spoons (of the metaphorical sort). if open beta weren't coming up, this would be a weekend for sitting outside and basking in the weather, or reading fluff books, or playing VS or Wow or something, but it is, so my spoons are going there until I run out.

Of course, since I have neither the time nor energy to write, and since [livejournal.com profile] stargate_summer would be priority anyway, *now* is when a bunch of old origfic ideas decide to come back to life. sigh. Yesterday, it was a story (starring sydney and vampire!ashley, no really) that had been stalled because the narrator (ashley) wasn't giving me his name. Which turned out to be because it needed to be in first person anyway, for other reasons. (He's a brat though.) The other day, it was my swimmer boys. Today, it was my ... weredragon I guess is the best term? Sigh. Naturally, if I had time to write, they'd all be silent; it's only when I literally can't that they speak up.
