I has Dilemmas
Jun. 12th, 2010 06:20 pmSo my current knitting project (excepting the bulky-yarn saroyan, which it is too hot to work on omg), being the orange wedge bag that is far cuter in theory than in reality, will be done at some point, which means I will be needing something to work on in its place. Current candidates:
This is all mostly theoretical, since I haven't finished the orange yet and also I have plenty of writing to do to keep me occupied, but, uh, I am open to opinions or suggestions :D
- kiwi bag, from the same kit. it doesn't look to have the same sorts of finicky little problems that I'm finding with the orange wedge, but then again, I don't know until I knit it. Has the dis/advantage of being another colorwork thing, and I'm not too sure I want to jump right into same.
- beet bag, also from same kit. Is single color (well, one at a time; there are two colors involved, beet and leaf, but they're done separately), which is good especially for being a while-watching-tv project, but also means I will have a period of nothing but stockinette. also, the first instructions involve stringing 78 beads onto the yarn (and here I thought the 18 for the orange wedge took forever). Yes, technically I could sew the beads on after the fact, but that isn't the same effect.
- one of the
dwsockclub socks I didn't get around to doing (because I apparently suck at sock clubs \o/). gives me awesome socks, in theory at least.
- victorian neck cozy which I have fallen completely and utterly in love with for no reason at all that I can figure out but omgwant.
- Twee fingerless gloves, which have the dual advantage of being a fairly small project and having yarn that knows it wants to be this.
- something else I'm not thinking of
