...I reeeeally really don't want to go to the meeting that I have to go to tonight.

(Budget meetings are always fun. Budget meeting where we are trying to figure out how to not have the gaping deficit? Even more fun.)

I am sorely tempted to plead being sick as an excuse to not go. (I'm really really tired and blah, but I'm not actually sick per se.) It's not just that I don't want to be there, and not just that I don't like situations that are set up for conflict and disagreement; I don't think I will add *anything* at all, and so it's not like there's a point to me being there.

*sigh*

Survived the meeting. It went for more than three hours (which, I might add, is hour-plus beyond the scheduled adjournment time), and at the end, voting to adjourn took fifteen minutes and three votes, all with varying results x.x

(I am not joking. Motion to adjourn, seconded by yrz trly; vote, by voice and raised hand. Looked to me like the motion failed, but there was some confusion on count of nay votes. In process of recounting, which came out to 4-6, it turned out that one of the people was under the impression that the voting was the other direction. Repeated motion to adjourn in light of said misvoting; 5-5, with one person abstaining, who then agreed to vote. Revote turned out to be 7-4; maybe if we'd kept going we would have gotten to unanimous, who knows, but at least we only needed a simple majority.)

I, er, didn't contribute much, with the exception of voting (useful for the motion that passed 6-5) and seconding a motion or two, but I survived.

... except for the bit where we didn't really resolve enough so we have to meet again next week.

Shoot me now plz.

*keels over*
