Headache from standing on Sunday? Annoying, but vaguely explicable in that I was standing a lot more than usual.

Identical headache from standing yesterday: Okay since I was standing for a while (not quite as long, and something I've done before with no problems, but wtfever) but still annoying.

Identical headache from standing today: what the fucking fuck, body. This was just a normal toileting. You do this /multiple times a day/ without problems wtfffff.

it's a blinding throbbing sort of headache that starts in the very very front of my head and spreads to temples and down the neck, always throbbing at pulse rate.

my paranoid brain is going "omg brain cancer! or bad blood clot! or both!!!!111".

Which is not particularly helpful...

So there is a thing that I sometimes play that I do not talk much about, and that thing is Minecraft.

The basic idea is that it is a world made up of blocks (kind of like legos only not really) and you can mine things and then craft from them! Also, if you are not a wuss like me, there are enemies that come out at night and will try to kill you.

My first introduction to Minecraft was this Penny Arcade comic. Also this one.

There was also my sister, who helpfully provided advice like "build your first home out of dirt!" and I, who knew about punching trees but nothing else, said "BUT WHERE DO I GET DIRT *wail*", to which she informed me that pretty much everything is punchable.

(Well. Stone, and harder things, need pickaxes if you actually want to get something out of it. But you can punch the ground you're standing on, and you can punch dirt or sand or trees or leaves or cactuses or pigs or cows or zombies (er, those are more efficiently killed with a sword) or whatever in order to get the basic materials. You cannot, however, punch water. Or lava. Well, at any rate, lava punching is neither productive nor good for your health.)

It is kind of awesome, especially to the part of my brain that loved the legos I had as a kid. Not lego sets (the sort where you follow instructions to put that piece on top of that piece and eventually you get this very detailed castle thing), but just lego blocks.

It is also kind of overwhelming, because that part of my brain has slightly withered due to lack of legoness, and so I cannot think of awesome shit to build.

(There are some people out there that have done /really/ impressive stuff. I am not one of them.)

#

(I kind of want a Minecraft userpic, but I can't think offhand of what would make a good one.)

#

If anyone decides to try playing and wants starting instructions, let me know and I can babble. But that babble is not this babble.

This babble? Is me asking for help and ideas and stuff. Because I am doing the equivalent of creating a character in WoW, getting to level 5, wandering off in boredom, creating another character, rinse and repeat, and deleting characters when I run out of space. And that is not so much fun. I want to build cool things and I /can't think of anything/ and it is making me very whimpery because Minecraft has awesome potential and I am too stupid to take advantage of it.

(Well, I can think of things, in vague ways, but not in "how to execute them in Minecraft" ways.)
