Random-ass memory

...when I was a kid, lying in bed supposed to be sleeping, I would pretend to be fake dead -- like, breathing with as little movement as possible, practicing for ~all the times~ I would end up in situations where the bad guys would do a visual check of Those Who Still Need Killing (and I with all my practice would play podium until I could sneak off).

Mind, this was well before school shootings were a thing. It was more about evil wizards.

The other really common not-sleeping thing I can remember doing is acting out an elaborate death scene involving being captured by forest elves, who didn't like humans much and so would capture me, tie to a tree, and then do death by bow-and-arrow firing squad.

I ... may have been a weird kid... 😂
