Today was sunny and warm and glorious, so I changed into a short-sleeve shirt (via PA) for the first time this year, and slathered my sunburn-prone skin with fragrant shinymaking sunscreen (via PA), and meandered downtown completely on my own. Partly, I needed thingamawhatsits -- one of my bookshelves has adjustable shelves via pins that are rounded on the in-the-bookcase end and flat on the supporting-the-shelf end, and it's designed to have four pins per shelf, and one of my shelves had, er, two pins and a stack of books underneath propping it up. Which was not exactly ideal. -- and partly I just had the need to get out. So I got the thingamawhatsits, and a new reacher because I keep breaking the ones I have, and some nightlight bulbs.
There was also, I might add, a display of eyeblinding duct tape. Purple, aqua, neon/highlighter shades of green and orange and pink, zebra and leopard prints, camo, flame, and tie-dye.
And then I swung by Blockbuster, which was closing and therefore had stuff on clearance, and found a great birthday present ... for someone whose birthday is not until midsummer. Oops? Hope I remember about it then :D
