2) I can has SHOE. (this is the first time in a week that my left foot has been able to fit into a proper shoe. the big clunky black full-calf moon boot is not the most fun in the summer) \o/
3) Need writing mojo kickstart. Hence, meme:
Post the first line of a story here, and I'll write the next five. No context or prompts, just a line, and if I don't twig who it is then you'll get something slightly surreal back!
...and I am going to splurge and add the following to the meme: for any responses I make, if you write the *next* up-to-five sentences, I'll keep it going. \o/

"Selmak just wants to go topside," Hammond explained, "and it's standard procedure to provide... well, think of it as an escort service." He met their startled/embarrassed/did-he-really-say-that looks with one of bland innocence.
"I, ah, may regret asking this," Daniel said, "but where?"
Rather solemnly, Selmak answered, "I am quite interested in the place known as Disneyland."

"Didn't Dad's experience there give you more than enough distaste for the place?" Sam asked.
"Apparently not, since he's asking," said Jack. "Still, so long as you promise me we're not going during school holidays, it might not be too bad."
