ysobel* finally got around to saying "fuck it" and archiving inbox messages for both accounts. if I have forgotten to reply to an email of yours, plz poke me and I will correct asap.

novel_in_90. am insane. whatever. come play! (also set up a feed on DW so I'm more likely to see the check-in posts -- I check both sites, but DW more frequently than LJ.)
* speaking of which, need to trim my LJ flist (well, default view filter) so I stop seeing duplicate entries.
* am kind of In A Funk. wish I could borrow y'alls' faith in me, because I suspect you guys have more than I do.

* have managed to do six full rows on the sampler dishcloth -- four sc and two dc -- without losing or gaining stitches. yay me? it only took a month :P

Date: 2012-02-05 04:07 am (UTC)I knit, and am terrified of crochet, for exactly that reason. I can do the stitches just fine, except for the first bit where you have to *decide where to insert the hook to make the next stitch*. That bit I believe is magic. My last test swatch "I wonder if I am capable of doing this" had 50% more stitches in the second row than the chain it was built on. After a few rows it was interestingly gathered/wavey, but um, it was supposed to be a flat rectangle. You, however, appear to have the magic, and I bow to your wisdom.
