the downside to relying on other people for everything, including going to the bathroom? sometimes the scheduling doesn't work out, and I end up peeing my pants, and the chair, and, in this case, even the floor.
and there are so many Issues tangled up in this for me, embarrassment and shame and guilt and "this wouldn't happen if I were in more control" (rationally I know that a) problems and 'accidents' happen to everyone, and b) HELLO, DISABLED) and a ton of shouldings about how I should control my fluid intake better (lies, in this heat) and how I should be better about scheduling my aides (except that 98% of the time the schedule I have works for me) and how if I just [sparklefont] TRIED HARDER [/sparklefont] I could avoid embarrassing myself argh
(and one of my aides -- luckily the one that was on shift for this -- is good about smacking me metaphorically upside the head when I go into "omg sorry I am a biological person I'm so sorry" mode, but the others tend to be all "ew bodily fluids" which, while understandable, does not help at all)
