I have a relatively high spice tolerance (at least for an American), and I like spicy food. But one jalepeno -- *one* freaking *jalepeno*, out of a batch that tasted more like bell pepper -- was enough to have both me and my roommate going o.O;; ...or maybe 8=o.O;;=8 (that's with steam coming out the ears).
It was also probably the cause of our omg-can't-breathe fit of coughing and either sneezing (me) or asthma (her) while stuff was cooking.
I think it was a stealth ghost chili, or something.
