Want to write post, but brain can't decide on topic. Currently flip-flopping between "I am going to learn Spanish (because I can, that's why)" and "I am a horrible miserable pathetic failure".

The latter is of course of no interest to anyone (myself included) other than my depression, but I can't seem to avoid it.

My cope for languages has been nonexistent this year, but I have had several friends rec duolingo (...yay for google..) and I suspect that if it still needs invites, I probably have one. I keep meaning to put the app on my iPad and failing. ~wry~

Be sure to show off your Spanish learning here, because that's one language I don't know at all beyond the basics one gleans from product packaging! I will be appropriately awed and squeeful, I promise. :D Or, if you instead have to gripe about the obnoxious and tricky parts of Spanish, I will make appropriate sympathetic noises and tell you all the parts of German and Japanese that kicked my butt.

Welp, after one lesson at duolinguo, I can now officially say Yo soy una mujer. (or un hombre, but that is not quite true.)

(German is especially frustrating for me since I used to be close to fluent, but I've lost 90% of my knowledge and vocab, so I remember odd things and beginner stuff bores mr but I can't do anything any more)

Spanish is a wonderful language :D Si algún día quieres practicar español con alguien, cuentas conmigo! (More of less: if one day you want to practice Spanish with someone, count me in!)

WordReference is my favorite online dictionary because I like the forums a lot.
