ysobel...as done from my iPad so coding and linkage and stuff have to wait until tomorrow, sorry! But I wanted to get back on track.
10: Ramble about your favorite character (or characters) from Haven.
So, spoilery version or not too spoilery? Hmmm.
Favorite the first: Nathan. I think I already spoke on the touch thing being a strong attractor for me, although most of it is just "I have FEELS and can't really say why". I especially like early Nathan -- In the most recent season, his whole emo "I am only staying alive so that Audrey can kill me" thing got a bit thin. Though it did bring me to wonder why the hell he didn't actually go full-on suicidal between seasons -- he believed that he had killed, in one fell swoop, the barn, Audrey, and any hope Haven had of fixing the Troubles, and the Guard pretty much wanted him dead, and he didn't have his job, so ... he was doing the whole "I don't care what happens to me my life is meaningless" thing, plus he didn't have to worry about any attempt causing him pain, so ... Idk. (totally do not have ficbits written along these lines, noooo, not me)
Favorite the second would be Audrey, partly because yay female lead, but also because of the themes of identity and of purpose in life. I should probably add that I'm a few episodes behind right now and the ones I'm missing have some relevance to the subject, but. The identity issue doesn't explicitly come up until second season, when the other Audrey shows up, but it's there from the very beginning with the Colorado Kid photo lookalike.
And of course I am sort of fond of the Audrey-Nathan-Duke dynamic, the childhood frenemies totally-in-love angle that Duke and Nathan have and the connections that Audrey brings.
Aaand this was a sort of pathetic ramble but hey I never promised brilliance ;)
