Looking to 2014

I'm not making any new years resolutions because reasons (go read that link, I'll wait), but I am choosing Love as my ... I don't even know what to call it. Intention? Maybe.

Love of myself; love for my friends; doing things I love, like continuing with Duolinguo (133 day streak for Spanish, though I hope to continue even if the streak breaks); loving things I do. Loving even the sense of fear that keeps me from getting stuff done, because it's really just there to protect me.

Because love is one of the sorts of things that, the more you "use", the more you have; it is not finite in any way.

And because whatever else happens with me, love is still a thing I can always give.

Thank you for that link! It really resonated with me. I read through that list very slowly and nothing jumped out for me until I got to the word Savor. Mainly because in my life I never take time to just savor things. I eat fast, I worry about getting stuff done for the sake of it being done rather than just being in the moment and enjoying the moment. In fact I worry about stuff all the time and a lot of times i think it's because I don't allow myself to live in each moment.

Glad it was helpful! It (obviously) resonated with me as well. I've made resolutions in the past with varying degrees of Not Working, but the concept of a sort of touchstone idea/word ... just sort of feels right. (Also because it's kind of more a direction to steer in, than a specific goal that can be failed.)
