Dream: I was watching an old movie (nominally Ben Hur, but I'm pretty sure my mind was making shit up) and there was one scene where a guy had snuck off to basically have an affair -- his wife knew, but he didn't know she knew, and there was a previous scene where the wife and her ?maidservant? were watching him go and the wife was basically "it's better than being alone" and contrasted stuff with a guy who sat around all day polishing his spear (not a euphemism!) -- anyway, the guy was sitting with his mistress (who was a minor goddess of some sort) on a rock in the middle of a pond, and they were talking when suddenly it started raining bricks, plopping in the water around them.

And at that point I was in the scene, and I put my left hand over my head to protect it from falling bricks. One landed on my hand, and it was partially broken so there was a jagged point that buried itself in the pad of my index finger. I took it out (it somehow got embedded up to two inches ... in my fingertip wtf) but my finger was throbbing, as one might expect from having a sharp thing embedded in.

And then I woke up. And my left index finger was throbbing.

There's something weird going on with the finger -- both joints hurt, and there's weird nerve twinges, including in the fingertip. It hurts to try to straighten the finger; it hurts, nerve-ish-ly, if I flex the finger back. It hurts to use it, and it hurts to hold it out of the way.

(I'm really hoping this isn't a permanent thing, but I might have to go in to the hand specialist if this keeps up.)
