Haven flail
Nov. 2nd, 2013 12:55 pmI've (mostly) stopped trying to analyze "why" Haven is such a happy place for me, especially when the criteria I can think of apply to other shows that haven't hooked me at all. I'm just going with it. Feeling fannishly squeeful about something again is nice.
(It's also a little lonely because I'm not involved in fandom at all, so there's no one to squee with, but right now my sense of ... feeling like I'm allowed to like what I like, I guess? ... is extremely fragile, and if I get sideswiped by "This is problematic because XYZ" or "[element I like] is so stupid", it'll just send me into a tailspin. Which I really don't need.)
But I do have to rant very briefly.
