Spoilers for Sherlock S3 (well, for the first ep thereof), and it's really a canon rewrite, because reasons. Episode spoilers in that link. And in the fic, which is on AO3: Three minutes.
Not included in either link: the several minutes of wibbles because part of me was going "ooh I wrote a Thing, let's post it" but the editor brain ways saying it sucks and is stupid and I should delete it (I have a jerk of an editor brain), and so yeah. But I want to write more FSOs this year*, and actually posting them is part of the process.
* not hard, given that I wrote all of two fic in the last calendar year
