Despite the fact that my headcanon has XMFC as a reboot of, not prequel to, the earlier X-Men movies, I still kind of want to write a fic where Magneto still goes with his "build a machine that MAKES EVERYONE A MUTANT" plan, as seen in the first movie, except he actually succeeds, with the result that every human is mutated for a few days before dying, and Charles is kind of "...well shit, this isn't good", and Magneto kind of shrugs and goes "...eh they were going to die out anyway" but is still deeply disturbed because HELLO GENOCIDE, and then somehow Charles gets into his head (he doesn't wear the helmet 24-7 and is all "you are a monster. I still love you, but HELLO GENOCIDE. Of a race you decided was inferior, sound at all familiar? And p.s. remember that haw guy? You're kind of turning into him" and sharing the image he'd gotten from Emma's mind and ... and I don't have any idea where it would go.

I am also ... I think I've mentioned this before, but I keep wanting to do something with tattooing, especially once I saw the "tattoo ink can contain trace metals" thing in a random trawling for tattoo information. Except that I can never get it to work because the Erik in my head is all "...NO (MORE) TATTOOS EVER", and the best I can do is Charles getting a tattoo as a surprise for Erik and Erik being all D: at him about it. (And Charles being baffled and Erik going "............you so do not get it" at him and stalking off and it does not turn into funtime romps.)
