WoW fun (sorta)
Nov. 30th, 2009 09:16 pmFun times: taking 10 (or was it fewer?) L80s into a dungeon designed for 40 L60s.
Even more fun times: fighting a boss, that, as far as I can tell, needed to have a certain number of hits done to him while in a frozen state, which only happened after a certain number of frost attacks, and we had ... a mage. And a warlock with a frost-damage wand. And no one else that could do frost attacks.
So we DPSed him down to 1 HP well before he reached frozen state. And then we kept doing damage, but since we couldn't kill him (he wasn't frozen yet), it didn't have any effect. And then about ten years later, he finally did freeze ... but it took two rounds of attacking-while-frozen to actually kill him. So there was another long-ass stretch of non-damaging-damage.
...yeah.
(There was one point where I left my character on auto-attack and wandered off to eat dessert. Granted, that was only a couple bites of stuff, after which I came back, but still.)
